Vihtavuori powder 24N41 is a single-based treated rifle powder very similar to the 20N29. It has a very large grain size (length 2,3 mm by diameter 1,3 mm) and an extremely slow burning rate ideally suited to the .50 BMG.
It can also be used for some large-capacity cases, such as the .300 Lapua Magnum, .300 Rem. Ultra Mag, and the .338 Lapua Magnum. Of the two, Vihtavuori powder 24N41 is slightly faster than 20N29, with a renewed relative burning rate of 39 for the 24N41 compared to 36 for the 20N29, when N110 is given the index 100.

This additive deters the adhesion and build-up of copper fouling in the bore, ie. the inside of the barrel of a firearm.
Excessive jacket material fouling is a well-known and established cause of accuracy loss when shooting.
Our new decoppering agent prevents much of barrel fouling from building up in the first place, greatly prolonging your shooting sessions, and extending barrel life.
